A night of stand-up comedy about mental health, performed by Austin comedians speaking from personal experience. One of the organization’s recurring formats for making mental health visible and approachable — using humor as the entry point into a conversation that is rarely had in public.

An open mic format where Austinities share how they use creative outlets in dealing with mental health conditions including depression, bipolar, ADD, PTSD, anxiety and others. From the folks who brought you the theatrical show, “Normal Like Us – The Depression Chronicles” last year (a show by and about artists living with mental health conditions), we are continuing our commitment to create a space for dialogue about mental health. Please email if you want to sign up. Any medium, any length up to 10 minutes. Already signed up – Share excerpts from a book-in-progress about their journey, doodles, text messages of poetry to a friend while in crisis, research into famous people with mental health conditions, etc. Come share or come listen, come with an open mind and an open heart.
