Lucky Chaos Crowd is a monthly community gathering spotlighting a local creative event and a local restaurant. Part of our mission to support diverse artists in Austin and to build the habit of showing up. Every month, a reason to be in the same room together.
Why it matters
De-stereotyping doesn’t happen through argument. It happens through shared experience — laughing at the same show, eating at the same table, being in the same room. Lucky Chaos Crowd exists to build that habit in Austin’s community. Showing up, together, consistently, is itself a form of activism
Who it’s for
Everyone. That’s the point. Lucky Chaos Crowd is the most public-facing of our sustained spaces — designed to bring diverse communities and the general public together in the same room around food, art, and shared experience. You don’t need to know anything about the organization to show up. You just need to show up.
The record
Lucky Chaos Crowd ran monthly from 2017 through 2020. Dozens of local artists and restaurants spotlighted. A community that kept showing up. The pandemic paused it — but the idea didn’t go away.
