LuckyChaos Theater Projects presents: La Familia Comedy Night

JANUARY 12, 8PM AT SALVAGE VANGUARD THEATER

Shades of Brown headlines A night of comedy hosted by The Persona with Shades of Brown headlining and Your Dad’s Friends opening! Two of Austin’s favorite improv troupes!

Shades of Brown:
Shades of Brown has been performing together in Austin, Texas since March 2010. Inspired by their background and life experiences, Shades of Brown brings to the stage the Latino point of view. Ethinicity, culture, and improv is what unites this group of maniacs. Laughter and friendship is what keeps them together. Shades of Brown is a family with one common goal…to make you laugh so hard you pee in your pants.

The Persona:
The Persona produces alternative hip hop: hip hop tinged with electro, house, and industrial, as well as other genres of music; featuring a stage presence that ventures from punk rock attitude to hip hop braggadocio to sly indie irony. In 2011, The Persona won the 2011 KSCL Battle of the Bands and released his debut EP: Gratuitous Everything. In 2012, The Persona released a free mixtape, VOTE POET, available at thepersonamusic.bandcamp.com

Your Dad’s Friends
Not since Poseidon released the Kraken has there been such a stir in the water! People thought we were gone, but they were wrong! That’s right we are Your Dad’s Friends! We are… um… friends of your dad’s… Your Dad’s Friends is made up of some of the strongest comedic-acting stalwarts of the Austin community. Our resumes read like the pedigree of the strongest thoroughbreds in Austin’s comedy history. Some members of this troupe can be considered directly responsible for the cultivation of the improv and comedy community that exists in this town today.
